About Me:
In the past ten years it has become possible to design arbitrary protein shapes, however designing functional proteins remains a challenge. I would like to tackle the challenge of designing de-novo molecular machines out of existing modular building blocks. In particular I am designing a de-novo random walker on a designed filament. To achieve this goal, I am also designing well behaved reversible helical bundle heterodimers and working on a high-throughput assay for their characterization.
