Over the course of two weekends, one in March and the other in April, volunteers from the lab presented Foldit workshops at the Expanding Your Horizons conferences. They are aimed at girls in Jr and High School and focus on STEM topics. Our workshop was one of over 50+ that were available to chose from, with topics ranging anywhere from electricity to architecture. It was a great opportunity to try and get young women interested in proteins!

We’d like to thank Una Nattermann for once again organizing everything, as well as all of the volunteers who gave up their Saturdays to show the kids how to beat level 2-2!
